The Chinatown-International District welcomes you to the 2012 Lunar New Year Celebration presented by Snoqualmie Casino! The Lunar New Year Celebration is the most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calendar and brings thousands of families to participate in authentic cultural activities featuring calligraphy drawing, Chinese yo-yo and games and activities throughout the District. There is nonstop entertainment throughout the day including Lion and Dragon dances, Taiko drumming, martial arts and our third annual Children’s Parade Contest where kiddies can strut their best New Year’s cultural outfit on stage! Bring your family and friends to this exciting and unique cultural experience you can only find in the Chinatown-International District!

2nd Annual Lunar New Year FOOD WALK w/ $2 Tasting Menu!
Celebrate the Year of the Dragon by treating your taste buds to a trip around the world at the 2nd Annual Lunar New Year Food Walk on Saturday, January 28th! Restaurants across the Chinatown-ID will be offering a variety of $2 tastes from China, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, and beyond! Sample (and collect stamps) from FOUR (4) or more restaurants and you will be eligible to enter a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE! Simply return the stamp card to the information booth during Lunar New Year Celebration or to the CIDBIA office located at 507 S. King St. after the event!

3rd Annual CHILDREN'S COSTUME PARADE & CONTEST!
Bring your children and friends to enter into our third annual Children’s Parade Contest presented by Northwest Asian Weekly where they can show off their best cultural New Year’s outfit on stage! Parents are welcome to accompany their children on stage. Judges will announce winners and prizes! You can preregister on our website by downloading the application or sign up on the day of the competition. See application for details. Good Luck!
