Seattle's Night Market & Moon Festival is happening on Saturday, September 22nd from 6:00pm-12:00am in Seattle's Chinatown-International District. This year we have moved the location to the Union Station Plaza, on the corner of 5th and Jackson!
Beginning at 6:00pm, we are starting the Festival off with Chinese Dragon and Lion Dances to be followed by Taiko Drumming, and our special guest Massive Monkees at 7:00pm.
Massive Monkees is an unsurpassed crew of energetic b-boys/b-girls
(break dancers) originating in Seattle, WA. “They are
percussively-gifted, hip-hop dervishes,” (artsjournal.com) and “one of
the most famous breaking crews in the world,” (seattletimes.com).
The
INTERNATIONAL DANCE PARTY kicks off at 8:00pm with JK-POP! Spinning some
of the best Japanese and Korean Pop Music. If you are new to Japanese
and Korean Pop Music, this is a must see event, as it has quickly grown
to become a world wide sensation.
We will close out the Festival with a Bollywood Jai Ho Dance Party starting at 10:00pm!
In addition to the International Dance Party, this year there will be
an "Art & Flea" with tons of great vintage goods, a Kirin Ichiban
Beer Garden, and of course plenty of great food, including Tokyo Dog,
Chopstix, Sub-Sand, Oasis Bubble Tea, and much, much more!
So
come out and take part in this great, one of a kind Festival and
celebrate the fall harvest at this year's Night Market & Moon
Festival!
