We host a monthly community litter pick-up event in the CID on the Second Saturday of each month and are always looking for new volunteers!
What: CID Community Clean Up
When: The next cleanup event will be held on February 14th (Saturday), 10:00am - 12:00pm.

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) CID December 2025 Sanitation Update Summary

SSC December 2025 CID Sanitation Summary
In the month of December 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, have removed:
10,890 pounds of garbage,
1228 pieces of recycling,
685 biohazards (human and pet waste),
254 pieces of sharps/needles,
196 overflow public litter cans & dumpster,
212 bulky in the public right of way,
210 instances of broken glass,

In the month of December 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, removed 3,543 sq.ft. of graffiti tags on businesses & properties in the public right-of-way throughout the Chinatown-International District (CID).
