We host a monthly community litter pick-up event in the CID on the Second Saturday of each month and are always looking for new volunteers!

What: CID Community Clean Up

When: Second Saturday of the Month, Next event on December 13th, 10:00am-12:00pm

Litter+ Abatement

In the month of October 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, have removed:

• 9,471 pounds of garbage,

• 1,123 pieces of recycling, 

• 520 biohazards (human and pet waste),

• 247 pieces of sharps/needles, 

• 218 overflow public litter cans & dumpster,

• 132 bulky in the public right of way,

• 107 instances of broken glass,

Graffiti Abatement

In the month of October 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, removed 2,895 sq.ft. of graffiti tags on businesses & properties in the public right-of-way throughout the Chinatown-International District (CID).

CID Alley Cleaning

SPU, Waste Management, and Fleet Genius continue to support the CID with a weekday pressure washing of the neighborhood alleys.
