We host a monthly community litter pick-up event in the CID on the Second Saturday of each month!

Litter+ Abatement

In the month of September 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, have removed:

• 8,382 pounds of garbage,

• 1640 pieces of recycling, 

• 832 biohazards (human and pet waste),

• 251 pieces of sharps/needles, 

• 243 overflow public litter cans & dumpster,

• 202 bulky in the public right of way,

• 159 instances of broken glass,

Graffiti Abatement

In the month of September 2025, the CIDBIA's sanitation contractors, Seattle Surface Cleaners, removed 3,013 sq.ft. of graffiti tags on businesses & properties in the public right-of-way throughout the Chinatown-International District (CID).

SPU, Waste Management, and Fleet Genius continue to support the CID with a weekday pressure washing of the neighborhood alleys.
