Beginning in October 1, Washington's Plastic Bag Ban will reduce pollution by prohibiting single-use plastic carryout bags and charging a fee for acceptable bags in businesses. Allowed bags include large paper carryout bags, small paper bags, thick reusable plastic carry out bags, etc. For more information about the plastic bag ban, click here

King County In-door Air Quality Assistance

King County Public Health is offering assistance with improving in-door air quality at businesses and other facilities. This includes advice, and potentially, a free HEPA air filtration unit. Priority will be given to spaces with no other option for increasing ventilation or filtration due to financial constraints or building limitations. The program is intended to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread.
