The hours of operation are 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Who do I contact in an emergency?

CALL 9-1-1 for all medical, fire and police emergencies, and anytime you believe there is a need to send police, fire, or medical personnel to the scene.  9-1-1 data informs police resource allocation and helps the Chinatown-ID Business Improvement Area understand the public safety situation in our neighborhood. The Seattle CARE Department now houses 911 as well as Community Crisis Reponders who can respond to people exhibiting behavior health crisis or those in need of additional services. *Repeat your spoken language in English if a translator is needed*

Who do I contact in a non-emergency?

Call 206-625-5011 for non-emergencies. Any incident that does not require immediate assistance falls under non-emergencies.

On-going drug activities that don't require an immediate response can be reported online through the Narcotics Activity Report or over the phone by calling 206-684-5797.

How do I file a police report?

Crimes that can be filed online are non-emergency situations that usually do not require an in-person police response. Property crimes and other non-violent crimes can be reported online directly to SPD.

How do I report a public issue to the City of Seattle?

Users can report select issues to the City of Seattle; including abandoned vehicles, encampment activity, and illegal dumping. Once downloaded, report an issue in the app by submitting a photo with detailed information and using the map's "drag and drop" feature to pinpoint the location. Smart 9-1-1 is a national third-party system that stores data you provide and makes it available to emergency call centers that are equipped and ready to receive Smart911 data. You can create an account with information that will tell the 911 dispatch things like your language needs, health related data, and other things that can help them serve you in an emergency.

Can I receive location-based safety alerts?

Citizen is a mobile app that sends users location-based safety alerts in real time. It allows users to read updates about ongoing reports, broadcast live video, and leave comments. The app uses radio antennas installed in major cities to monitor 911 communications, with employees filtering the audio to generate alerts. The app is currently available for iOS and Android devices.

What is We Deliver Care? How do I contact them?

We Deliver Care provides de-escalation and milieu management services. WDC has started outreach work in Little Saigon and the rest of the CID. They have been working in the area every day, 7am-3:30pm.

What is REACH? How do I contact them?

REACH builds relationships with people experiencing homelessness and connects them to the help that they need – everything from food and clothing to medical care, shelter, and mental health and/or substance use treatment.

Ashley is the primary Outreach Care Coordinator for the CID (ashleys@etsreach.org). She does outreach and engagement with people who are experiencing homelessness and helps to connect anyone who is interested in resources. They also connect with businesses, provide support, education, and information regarding the current state of homelessness, and how we can come together to find ways to help give opportunities to provide and care for people who are experiencing homelessness.

What is LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion)?

LEAD has been receiving referrals from SPD Officers and collaborating with them to provide services and long-term case management to people who are qualified for their program. They work with specialized populations, especially those with criminal legal system involvement.

If you notice someone in the CID exhibiting behavior health struggles or criminal activity that might be related to substance use or mental health issues you can make a referral to Simone Walcott at simone.walcott@wearepda.org

Include any physical descriptions of the person and possible locations they can be found to help the Outreach workers find them and get them connected to a Case Manager.
